Q: What is Officer’s Club?
Ans: Officer’s Club is a common place where government officers and eminent members of the club come together formally or informally for sports, cultural events, recreational facilities, spend some quality time with family & Friends etc. and all the facilities provided by club like restaurants, residential facility etc.
Q: What is Membership?
Ans: Officer’s Club provide memberships to Government, Non-Government and Corporate Members. There are 5 Types of memberships are offered by the club as follows.
- Honorary Membership
- Government Membership
- Life Membership (Non Government)
- Short Term Membership
Executive Committee of Club reserves all the rights for membership.
Q: What is Honorary Membership?
Ans: Important political dignitaries and office holders such as Governor, Chief Minister, Chief Justice and other Judges of High Court, Chief of Armed Forces, Sports personnel of National or International distinction, or any other distinguished personality, who has contributed to social causes in Arts and Culture including Padmashree and similar Award recipients, may be invited by the Executive Committee of the Club to be a Honorary Members of the Club without payment of any fees, or annual or monthly maintenance charges.
Q: What is Government Membership?
- All Gazetteer Officers (Class I and II) serving with the Central or State Government or Senior Officers in P.S.O.s Nationalized Banks, Govt. undertakings and Armed Forces are eligible for membership as Government Members.
- The application for admission as government members shall be subject to approval by the Executive Committee and payment of the prescribed admission fee.
- A nominal entrance fee of Rs.2,00,00/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) shall be levied on the Government Members, which will be paid at the time of submission of application. The rates of entrance fee shall be subject to revision from time to time by the Executive Committee.
- The membership of the Government Members shall remain valid as long as the member is serving within the Latur District, and as long as the member fulfills all other relevant provisions of the bye-laws and rules of the Club.
- If, after the transfer of the Government Member out of the Latur District or on retirement form service, the Government Member wishes to continue his membership of the Club, he shall be eligible to seek admission as a life Member.
Q: What is Life Membership?
- Gentlemen and Ladies above the age of 18 years of age, who enjoy good standing and respect in the society and having no criminal antecedents shall be eligible to seek life membership of the Club.
- The grant of membership shall be subject to payment of prescribed entrance fee for life membership and other contributions/Donations and approval by the Executive Committee.
- The entrance fee for life membership and other contributions payable by Life Members at the time of his/her admission as Life Member shall be subject to revision by the Executive Committee from time to time.
- The grant of life membership shall be subject to character verification of the prospective member by the police authorities.
Q: What is Corporate Membership?
- Companies, Corporations or Bodies – Corporate or Incorporated under any Law or Regulation for the time being in force, may be admitted as Corporate Members of the Club, subject to contribution and approval of the Executive Committee.
- A Corporate member shall have the right to nominate three Gentlemen or Ladies who are whole time Directors, Partners or Senior Executives of appropriate status as Corporate Nominees. The Corporation may nominate an Add-On Member subject to payment of the additional fees for nomination of the Add- On Member and approval of the Executive Committee.
- The prescribed admission fee for Corporate Membership, as well the Add-On Member nominated by the Corporation, shall be subject to revision from time to time.
- A Corporate Nominee or the Add-On Nominee shall have all the rights and privileges as available to a Life Member, as long as his/her nomination remains valid.
- A Corporate Nominee or Add-On Nominee shall cease to be a Member :-
- If the Corporation Ceases to be a Member of the Club
- If the Corporation withdraws his/her nomination
- If he/she resigns from or is dismissed from employment / service of the Corporation or ceases to be member of the unincorporated body
- On a default by the Corporation or the Nominees, of the provisions of this Constitution.
Q: What is Short Term Membership?
- Any Gentleman or Lady over the age of 18 years, who is self supporting, and who enjoys good standing and respect in the society, who has a domicile in or outside the District of Latur, but resides in Latur only for the purpose for service or profession may be admitted as a Short Term Member subject to payment of the prescribed admission fee, and approval of the Executive Committee.
- The short Term Membership shall remain valid for a period of three years only and shall be subject to renewal. A short term members desirous of continuing his/her membership beyond the initial period of three years shall be required to apply for Life Time Membership by following the prescribed procedure and scrutiny.
- Executive committee has power to renewal its membership fees for one year.
- The admission fee and other contributions payable for Short Term Membership shall be subject to revision by the Executive Committee form time to time.
- A Short Term member shall enjoy all the rights and privileges available to a Life Time Member, except the right to vote.
- A Short Term Member shall not be eligible to be a member of the Executive Committee.
